ABOUT LAKESHORE LACROSSE
In the early 2000s, boys’ and girls’ lacrosse was just starting to take root in Illinois. The sport was largely unknown, offering few opportunities for young athletes, especially girls, to learn and play. Lakeshore was founded in 2003 to meet the need for dedicated, high-quality programming for female players in the Chicagoland area. A company started by women and centered on coaching by women who have played the game.
A nationally recognized brand with elite club teams and year-round training, Lakeshore boasts an experienced and knowledgeable coaching staff with an extensive track record of producing college commits and a team-first, family culture. In addition, Lakeshore stands by their mission of developing players and supporting individual development through a broad range of training programs for all levels- from intro to elite.
CLUB
Lakeshore offers competitive club teams built around developing players with an emphasis on fundamental skills, individual skill work, team concepts, lax IQ and chemistry.
We believe in cultivating a family culture and teaching life skills that extend beyond the field. In order to cultivate this environment, we prioritize our coaches, and are selective in hiring experienced and passionate coaches to lead our teams.
TRAINING
Back for year 7, Commitlax offers the area’s most effective summer training program for committed high school and current college players.
Led by former college coach and Lakeshore CEO, Amanda Kammes, Commitlax prepares athletes for the physical, mental and athletic demands of college lacrosse from the pace of play to athletic ability. Each session includes ACL prevention, speed & agility, conditioning + lacrosse skills, drills and live play. Put yourself a step ahead and ready to contribute when you get to campus!
BOX
New in 2026, Chicago Style Box was launched in order to provide an opportunity for players to develop lacrosse skills in a unique, physical and fast environment.
Proven to elevate field awareness, decision making, fundamental skills and Lax IQ, box magnifies full field challenges and forces players to think, react and play faster, smarter and tougher. We offer year-round Box Training and winter Box teams.

When it comes to youth sports, we know that coaches make a massive impact. That’s why we are selective with our coaches and prioritize building a culture where hard work is expected, fun is guaranteed and there’s always time for a dance break. We have high expectations of our players, challenge one another and are driven to be the best. But we know what age-appropriate development looks like, why small fundamental improvements at the youth level are more impactful long term than wins on the field and how to get teams to peak just in time for recruiting.
