Directors of Lakeshore Lacrosse
Carol Lynn Davey, Travel and Select Director - Carol Lynn grew up in Philadelphia playing
lacrosse and has loved it ever since. After having 7 children and relocating
to Chicago it was time to find something she enjoyed of her own. In
2000 she began officiating. She took on the head coaching position at
Hinsdale Central in 2003 and coached for the next two years. In 2004
Hinsdale took 4th in state. However, officiating is her passion.
In 2005 she returned to full-time officiating, and continues to love
the sport and the players. Carol Lynn is currently the Travel Team and
Select Team Director. She is a US Lacrosse certified official and holds
a National rating, affording her the opportunity to officiate the top
Division I lacrosse programs in the country.

Nikki Kammer - Nikki grew up in Wooster, OH where she first started playing lacrosse in the 7th grade. She attended Wooster High School and played varsity lacrosse from her sophomore through her senior years. Her senior year she was named to the 1st team All-Region in Ohio. Nikki continued to play lacrosse at The College of Wooster where she started on the varsity team for 3 years in a row. During her senior year in college Nikki coached a team of 7th & 8th grade girls and conducted several mini camps for that age group. After college Nikki moved to St. Paul, MN where she played on a post-collegiate traveling team and assisted in coaching several high school teams. Since moving to Chicago in 2001, Nikki became involved with Lakeshore Lacrosse, helping with the fall tournament and playing with the Chicago Women’s Lacrosse Club as well as in the Lakeshore Lacrosse leagues. Currently Nikki is the U13 Coach for the Travel Team.

Lynn Merrill - Lynn grew up
in Chicago and starting playing lacrosse at Loyola Academy.
She continued playing at the University of Illinois. Her senior year
she was elected club president and graduated in 2007 with a degree in
Spanish and international studies. She currently teaches elementary
Spanish, coaches
for Lakeshore and Northside College Prep High School and is a US
Lacrosse
certified official.
Lynn is currently
Lakeshore’s Chitown Classic Director and the Adult League Director.

Lindsay Morgan -
Lindsay played lacrosse at the University of Illinois, holding many
leadership positions and winning some awards during her time there.
She continues to play today for the Lakeshore Women's Lacrosse Club.
She began coaching immediately out of college for Lakeshore and for
Naperville Central High School. During her time as head varsity coach,
she led the team from being ranked #25 in state to #7 in state in two
seasons, giving them their first and only two play-off wins and giving
them their most winning record to date. Lindsay is also a certified US
Lacrosse official holding a District rating has acted as a director
for Lakeshore Select and is the current Private Instruction Director. She coaches for Lakeshore's Select and Travel
teams. Lindsay holds a Master's Degree in education at the University
of Illinois at Chicago.

Bridget Olp - Bridget Olp moved to Chicago in 1999 after graduating from the University of Illinois and began officiating lacrosse in the Chicagoland area. In 2003 she founded Lakeshore Lacrosse. She continues to officiate at the high school and collegiate level with added international experience from tournaments such as the Prague Cup. She founded the Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association (www.iglax.org) in 2003 and is working to promote youth lacrosse in Chicagoland.

Michelle Sebastian - Michelle picked up a
lacrosse stick for the first time in 1993, during her freshmen year at
Vanderbilt University. On their second year as a club, Michelle became the
leading scorer on the team. Vanderbilt turned Division I varsity in 1995. In
that year, she not only made the team amid a group of scholarship players and
recruits, but was a starter in the midfield. In her senior year, Vanderbilt
played an even tougher schedule against schools like Maryland, UNC, and Duke
and maintained a 10-6 record. Michelle tied for 5th in scoring that year and
won the Commodore Award for the best attitude and hustle. Coach Sebastian was
the head coach at HInsdale Central High School in Hinsdale, IL from 2006-2009.
During her tenure the team ended up 3rd, 1st, 3rd, and 3rd in State,
respectively. She is the only female to achieve this honor in Illinois.
She is now a head coach at Montini Catholic and looking to build a new
dynasty. Coach Sebastian is a founding member of IGLA, which promotes
girls youth lacrosse in the Chicagoland area (www.iglax.org). Michelle is
the mom of two beautiful baby girls and will be serving as a guest coach
for
Lakeshore at all levels.

Coaches and Refs for Lakeshore Lacrosse
Taryn Abbassian - Taryn grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago and started playing
lacrosse with Lakeshore in 2003. In high school, she also played volleyball,
basketball, and ran cross-country. She was a four-year starter on her
high school lacrosse team, playing all over the field, and she was elected
captain her senior year. Taryn was voted All-Conference player for two
years, and was 2nd team All-State her senior year. In addition, Taryn
received her team's Rookie of the Year, MVP, and Best Offensive Player
awards. She is currently a student-athlete at Division III Dickinson
College in Pennsylvania, playing midfield for the Red Devils. Taryn
plans to pursue a degree in political science and go on to law school.
When not playing, Taryn loves to watch and coach lacrosse. She
is excited to see where the sport will take her in the future.
Meghan Anderer - Meghan began her lacrosse career in 2001 at St. Charles High School.
Her passion for the sport grew quickly. Throughout high school she continued
to play at St. Charles as well as with various leagues and clubs in
the Chicagoland area. Meghan continued to play lacrosse into her freshman
year at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. She currently lives in Milwaukee
and studies occupational therapy at UW-Milwaukee.
Caitlin Bonham - Caitlin has been playing lacrosse
since eighth grade. She graduated from the University of Michigan where,
during her tenure as a student, she coached an academic extra curricular
program for middle school students. Since moving to Chicago she became
involved in lacrosse around the city. Caitlin is a US Lacrosse certified
official and acts as a coach for Lakeshore Lacrosse, and as a director
and for the Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association. She also plays in the
Lakeshore Women’s Lacrosse Club.
Josie Broussard
- Josie grew up in Maine where she started playing lacrosse in junior
high school. She continued to play club lacrosse at Brandeis University
and with local club teams in the Boston area, including Mass Elite and
Boston Women's Lacrosse Club. After graduating, she coached at Brandeis
for two years before moving to Chicago in 2004 to pursue a PhD in
molecular metabolism. She is now a guest
coach for Lakeshore and
plays as much as
possible with the Lakeshore Women’s Lacrosse Club.
Emily Cochran - Emily grew up in Michigan and started playing
lacrosse in 7th grade. She graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart
as a high school All American and two-time All State recipient. She was
recruited to play at the University of Pennsylvania where she was an All Ivy
player in the midfield/ attack and captain her senior year. Emily worked
in the Penn Athletics Department for two years in development and admissions
while pursuing a masters Higher Education Management. Emily moved to
Chicago in the fall of 2008. She currently lives in the city and works
for Sg2, a health care intelligence company in Skokie. She has been
involved with coaching camps and travel teams for over 6 years and is excited
to be with Lakeshore Lacrosse.
Caitlin M. Clark - Caitlin started playing lacrosse
at age 11 in the Syracuse, New York area. She played 5 years of high
school varsity lacrosse across various schools in upstate New York earning
several awards of recognition including Academic All-American honors
her senior year. She went on to play club lacrosse for the nationally
ranked UConn Women's Club Lacrosse team where she was a captain/coach
her senior year and earned an All-American nomination. Caitlin graduated
from UConn in 2007 with a degree in finance.. Caitlin lives in Naperville
and where she works as a division finance analyst. She continues to
play post-collegiate lacrosse.
 Lucia Perfetti Clark and Tim Clark - Lucia grew up in Homer, New York and started playing lacrosse in 8th
grade. During her junior year varsity season the team won the Section
III title, and in her final varsity season was runner up for Section
III. She went on to play at the University of Connecticut for two seasons
under Bonnie Rosen. The first season was their inaugural Division I
year, and she tallied the first assist for the Huskies. After graduate
school she continued to play with the Adirondack Club, as well as coach
for Guilderland Youth Lacrosse for six years at varying grade levels.
Lucia has been a US Lacrosse certified official and currently holds
a District rating. She is also a Board Member of the Illinois Chapter
of US Lacrosse. Tim began playing lacrosse in the 7th grade at Levy Middle School in Syracuse, NY where the Syracuse University Orange men's team served as his role model. After many hours chasing down balls that took funny bounces off of Levy's brick wall and metal signage, he went on to play attack at Nottingham High School and at the State University of New York, College at Geneseo. While living and teaching in Syracuse after college, he was a volunteer coach for a youth boys lacrosse team. During his time as a mathematics graduate student in Albany, New York, he realized that the men's game had become more specialized (and more boring). Lucia (Tim's wife and Lakeshore coach) taught him the rules of the more open and fast paced women's game where he's been a fan and coach ever since.
Jaci
Downey grew up in the western suburbs where she was one of the
founding members of the Hinsdale Central lacrosse team. She
started playing goalie into her first season of high school and was a
natural at it. Virginia Wesleyan College recruited Jaci where she played up
till her senior year stopping with a knee injury. After moving back to the
Chicago area she started coaching at Central for the Freshman/ Sophomore
program. Jaci now helps with IGLA while also goalie coaching for Lakeshore.
This season she will be moving to Montini Catholic High School where she will
be the head goalie coach for the program and Head Freshman/ Sophomore coach.
Sophie Eustis - Sophie has
been playing lacrosse since she was in 7th grade. She played on the
varsity team at her high school, Concord Academy in Concord, MA, all
four years. She earned All-Star honors in her league during her junior
and senior years. In high school she also played on the squash team,
which she was captain of her junior and senior years, and she fenced
competitively at a local club. Sophie was a captain on the varsity fencing
team at Northwestern University her senior year. She played on the club
lacrosse team there and coached at Oak Park and River Forest High School
for two years. She continues to play with the
Lakeshore Women’s Lacrosse Club
whenever she gets the chance, and coaches when her day job allows.
Katie Fegan - Katie
grew up in River Forest, IL and started playing lacrosse in 2000. She
attended Oak Park and River Forest High School where she helped start
the first girls' lacrosse team in 2002. Katie has been coaching for
Lakeshore Lacrosse and the IGLA since 2006 and has been the junior varsity
coach at OPRF since 2007. Katie is excited to be coaching so much and
loves coaching girls from all different levels of play. Game on!
Molly Fegan - Molly
began playing lacrosse her sophomore year of high school at Oak Park
River Forest. She played with OPRF on the first school sanctioned team
in 2003 as a captain. Following high school, she went onto Vanderbilt
University where she was founder, president and captain of the women's
club lacrosse team and a Southeastern Women's Lacrosse League MVP her
senior year. While living in Nashville, Tennessee she coached the University
School of Nashville's middle school lacrosse team as well as various
camps in the Nashville area. After graduating from Vanderbilt in 2007,
Molly moved back to Chicago and began coaching with Lakeshore Lacrosse.
She also returned to her alma mater as the assistant junior varsity
girls’ lacrosse coach at Oak Park River Forest High School. Molly
now lives in Chicago and works in commercial real estate as a tenant
representation broker.
Theresa Frezzo - Theresa grew up near Philadelphia where she played field hockey and lacrosse from a young age. She graduated from the Tatnall School in Wilmington, DE, where she served as captain, collected 4 All-Conference and 2 All-State nods during her career and was the statewide highest scoring player her senior season. She attended Bucknell University, playing 4 years on their Varsity Women’s team, contributing to the most successful season in the school’s history, when they finished 9th among the nation’s Division I programs. She left her mark as the 2nd highest scorer her junior and senior years. Theresa moved to Chicago in 2000 to attend graduate school. She has remained an active lacrosse participant as captain of the Lakeshore Women’s Lacrosse Club, coaching 2 seasons at Hinsdale Central and one at University of Chicago. She has served on the Chicago-Illinois US Lacrosse board of directors, and is a certified US Lacrosse official holding a Local rating. Theresa keeps busy working as biotechnology consultant and is pursuing her MBA at night at the Kellogg School of Management.

Sarah Goers - Sarah grew up in Hinsdale, IL and started playing lacrosse in 1999. She
played 4 years at Hinsdale Central and 1 year for Purdue's club team.
Sarah has been a junior varsity coach for Hinsdale Central High School since
2008. She also is the Hinsdale Director for Illinois Girls Lacrosse
Association since the Fall of 2008.
Katie Gotaas -
Katie grew up north of Chicago and went to New Trier High School in
Winnetka, Illinois where she played on the State Championship lacrosse
team in 2000 and 2001. She then attended Wheaton College where she played
on the women's lacrosse club team and captained three of those years,
taking the team to the WCLL playoff tournament her senior year. After
graduating from college, Katie has stayed very involved with lacrosse
in the Chicagoland area – coaching for Lakeshore's high school programs,
playing with the Lakeshore Women's Lacrosse Club, and promoting lacrosse
throughout the region. She is also a Board Member of the Illinois Chapter
of US Lacrosse.

Natalya Hoobchaak - Natalya grew up in Barrington, Illinois and started playing lacrosse
her freshman year of high school at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois.
She fell in love with the sport and went on to play Division III lacrosse
at Washington and Lee University. As a lefty midfielder she helped her
team win three conference championships. Immediately after college she
became the JV girls’ lacrosse coach for Loyola Academy, a position
which she holds currently. Natalya has a BS in business administration
and is a manager at Walgreen Co. in Retail Concept Innovation. In addition
to coaching, she is a certified kickboxing instructor and enjoys playing
beach volleyball. Lacrosse, however, will always be her number one sport
and she loves sharing her passion for the game with others.
Lindsay Howard grew up in Lake Forest, IL where she
graduated from Lake Forest High School in 2005. She was a member of both
the field hockey and lacrosse state championship teams. As a player she
received numerous awards such as All State, Academic All American and Captain.
Lindsay attended the University of Richmond her freshman year before
transferring to Denison University in Granville, OH. She was a member of
the varsity lacrosse team and started every game of her career. Every summer
she has helped out with numerous lacrosse and field hockey camps in the area.
Currently, she is the junior varsity field hockey coach at Lake Forest.
Lindsay is excited to become involved in expanding the game of lacrosse
throughout the North Shore.
Virginia Kosenkova - Virginia, a
Baltimore native, moved to Chicago after graduating with a BS in
biochemistry from the University of Maryland. There she played as a
defender and tacked on another 4 years to her high school and
recreational lacrosse experience. She now plays for the Lakeshore
Women’s Lacrosse Club and plays in adult leagues whenever possible.
Virginia has coached Lakeshore Select and travel teams since 2006 and
continues to welcome girls to the west leagues. She also coached the
top four Hinsdale Central team from 2007-2009, leading the team to
their first state championship in 2007. She is currently the varsity
coach at Montini Catholic High School. Virginia resides in Lincoln Park
and works as a product stewardship associate for BP in Naperville.
Marguerite E. Lanaux – Originally from Long Island, New York, lacrosse has been a part of Marguerite's
life as long as she can remember. She started playing in the 7th grade
and was co-captain of her high school varsity squad. She was also All-Conference
in high school and the second leading scorer on her team. At the University
at Albany, her team placed second in the ECAC conference. Midway through
college she transferred to Howard University in Washington, D.C. As
a senior at Howard she earned the honor of MVP and was their leading
scorer. Following graduation from law school Marguerite returned to
her alma mater to take on the position of head coach. She currently plays
with the Lakeshore Women's Lacrosse Club.
Devin McCue - Devin grew up on the north side of Chicago and attended Loyola
Academy where she was one of the founding members of the lacrosse
program. She went on to play Division III lacrosse at Allegheny
College in western Pennsylvania. After 2 years in goal, Devin
transitioned to the midfield where she was a defensive wing. After
graduating in 2002 with A BA in Communication Arts she returned home to
work on her Masters in Education. She coached the Varsity and Junior
Varsity teams at Northside College Prep High School from 2003-2006.
She has coached for both Lakeshore Lacrosse at the High School level
and IGLA at the middle school level. Devin currently works as a
photographer and a teacher for the Special Gifts Theater.
Sarah McKenna -
Sarah played on the varsity lacrosse team at Evanston Township High
School from 1997 to 2000. She then went to the University of Michigan
in Ann Arbor where she played on the club women's lacrosse team. She
transferred to Vassar College in New York after her freshman year and
played varsity field hockey and lacrosse for Vassar. She graduated from
Vassar in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. After Vassar,
she moved to Champaign, where she started her master’s degree in microbiology
at the University of Illinois. She now plays for Lakeshore Women’s
Lacrosse Club, coaches a Select team for Lakeshore, and is a field hockey
at Loyola Academy and varsity head lacrosse coach at Evanston High School.
Heidi Mella - Heidi grew up in Potomac, Maryland where she started playing lacrosse in 6th grade at The Holton-Arms School. She went on to play DII field hockey at Southern Connecticut State University and then after transferring to the University of Georgia she started playing lacrosse for the club team there. They were conference champions 3 out of her 4 years and she made all Conference (SWLL) first team honors her senior year. UGA went to the club division national tournament 2 years in a row. Heidi now lives and plays in Chicago. She helps coach for Lakeshore and plays with the Lakeshore Women’s Lacrosse Club.
Emily MuglerEmily graduated from Hudson High School in Hudson, Ohio with academic all-state honors. She was a two sport athlete in soccer and lacrosse and was captain of the lacrosse team that went to the State Championship in her junior year. Emily received her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Duke University where she also was the president of and a player for the women’s lacrosse club. She continued her studies in neuroscience as a Fulbright Scholar in Tubingen, Germany. While she was overseas, she found time to follow her passion for lacrosse by developing and coaching a women’s team in Germany where the sport of lacrosse is relatively unknown. She is currently a PhD candidate in Bioengineering at the University of Illinois-Chicago and coaches at St. Ignatius College Prep in the spring.
Elisha Newsome – Elisha played lacrosse at Howard University in Washington, D.C. During Elisha’s time at Howard, she held various leadership positions and was voted captain for two consecutive years by her peers. After graduating from Howard, Elisha moved to Chicago where she played with Lakeshore Lacrosse. Due to a job transfer, Elisha moved to St. Louis, MO where she played with the women’s post-collegiate team. In addition, Elisha also worked with QC Lax to help promote lacrosse to high school girls and help girls refine their skills during the summer. Elisha is very passionate about lacrosse and excited about getting more involved in the Chicagoland area. Currently, Elisha resides in the Naperville area where she works as a pharmaceutical sales representative.
Elizabeth Pinney - Elizabeth grew up in Baltimore, MD and started playing lacrosse in the summer after 9th grade when she was asked to travel to London with a rec league. She graduated from Bryn Mawr School for Girls as a first team All-Baltimore City and second team All Metro recipient. She was recruited to play at the University of Virginia where, in her first year, Elizabeth was named to the 2002 National Rookie Team by womenslacrosse.com and was selected as honorable mention national player of the week on March 17, 2002 by insidelacrosse.com. During her 3rd season with the cavaliers, Elizabeth was named to the 2004 ACC and NCAA All-Tournament Teams helping Virginia become champions during both tournaments. Additionally, in 2004 she was given second team All-American honors and was named to the All-State team. Her final year, Elizabeth was elected captain and helped lead Virginia to their third consecutive NCAA championship game. Currently, she is living in Chicago while attending graduate school to get her doctorate in physical therapy. She has been involved with coaching for over 6 years and is excited to be working with Lakeshore Lacrosse.
Read Powell - Read
grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio where she graduated from Hathaway Brown
School in 2004. She was a 4-year varsity field hockey and lacrosse player,
and was captain of both teams her senior year. Read went on to play
DIII field hockey and lacrosse at Denison University in Granville, Ohio.
At Denison, Read received recognition for her athletic achievements
including the 2007 DIII Senior All-Star Selection, NCAC Field Hockey
Defensive Player of the Year, and the North Coast Athletic Conference
Lacrosse 1st Team and All-Tournament Team. In 2006, she also contributed
to Denison's win of the North Coast Athletic Conference and appearance
in the NCAA Tournament. Read has worked at various field hockey and
lacrosse camps and clinics around Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio, and
is excited to start coaching lacrosse in the Chicago area. Read moved
to Chicago in June 2008, and currently works in the marketing department
and coaches field hockey at North Shore Country Day School in Winnetka.
Bobbie Sagan - Bobbie first started playing lacrosse in 1999 at Glenbook South High School. Her senior year Bobbie was MVP, 2nd team All-State and a Senior All-Star. Bobbie attended college at Western Michigan University where she graduated with a degree in communications and Spanish. During those years she was captain as well as leading scorer. In 2006 she was named WCLL All-League player. Bobbie is a certified US Lacrosse official holding a Local rating, and head coach for Mattawan High school, where she lead the team from 2-17 the previous season to 13-7 when she was head coach. Bobbie now lives in Northbrook, continues to play and is on the coaching staff at Glenbrook North High School.
Rachael Seul - Rachael grew up in a suburb north of Chicago and attended New Trier High School. She played lacrosse for 4 years and was a part of the 2001 State Championship team. After graduating from Marquette University, she began coaching lacrosse in Kenilworth, Illinois in the spring of 2006. She has been a part of the Kenilworth Girls Lacrosse League for three years now and was given the opportunity to be the Director of the Kenilworth Girls Lacrosse program for grades 5-8 in 2008. Rachael loves spreading her love of the sport across the northern suburbs of Chicago. She also teaches 4th grade at a school in Winnetka, and is a Select coach for Lakeshore.

Samantha Silverman - Samantha started playing lacrosse freshman year at Glenbrook
North High School and continued on to play at Indiana University-Bloomington for
all four years. She served in many leadership positions on the IU team,
including head coach her senior year. Starting spring 2010, she will be
the Varsity Coach at Highland Park High School. She is currently doing her
student teaching at New Trier and Joseph Sears for physical education and health
to prepare for her upcoming teaching career.
Colleen Speth - Colleen began playing lacrosse as a freshman at Evanston Township High School. She was a 3 year starter at Evanston and was voted 1st team All-State, Goalie of the Year and All-American honorable mention as a junior and senior. She holds all school goalie records and was the first lacrosse player from ETHS to go on to play at a Division I school. She started 9 games as a freshman at UMass and was selected A10 rookie of the week for the week of 3/24/2008. Colleen is currently coaching at Evanston while persuing a degree in finance.
Shannon Sullivan - Shannon played for 4 years at Loyola Academy
and was co-captain her senior year, playing both midfield and attack
positions. She was a member of the 2003 and 2005 IHSWLA State
Championship teams. From there she went on to play Division I for Villanova
University and completed her studies with degrees in accounting and
finance. During her summer abroad, Shannon had the opportunity
to play with the Dublin Women’s Lacrosse Team. While in Pennsylvania,
Shannon coached the middle school Saints Lacrosse Team and was also
a referee. Now, back in Chicago, Shannon is very excited to be
a part of Lakeshore Lacrosse again!
Helder Weil -
Helder started playing lacrosse during her junior year in high school in
Colorado, where she grew up. She played varsity goalie with the top
ranked Colorado State University women's club team. In Chicago, she has
taught Spanish at the middle and high school level and was head coach of
the Neuqua Valley Wildcats in their first season. While working with
Lakeshore, she has coached the Select and Travel teams as well as the
annual pre-season goalie clinic. In addition to coaching, she is a
certified US Lacrosse official holding a District rating and plays with
the Lakeshore Women's Lacrosse Club. In her spare time Helder enjoys
playing the guitar and volunteering.

Kerry Kobe - Kerry grew up playing lacrosse in Northern Virginia. She captained her high school lacrosse team at Bishop O'Connell in Arlington, VA. Kerry went to college at the University of Notre Dame, and upon arriving in 1994 played for the women's club team. Two years later she was part of the inaugural team when women's lacrosse was chosen to be the next Division I sport at Notre Dame. Kerry played defensive wing and coverpoint her junior and senior years under current head coach Tracy Coyne. Since moving to Chicago in 1998 she has always been involved in lacrosse to some extent or another - first founding the girls' program at Hinsdale Central HS, then as president of the Chicago-IL US Lacrosse Chapter and lastly as a women's lacrosse official. In addition to being the VP of Information Technology at an investment firm downtown, she freelances doing website and graphic design around the city. Kerry has her MBA from Northwestern Kellogg School of Management in Marketing & Entrepreneurship. She's played many summers with Lakeshore Women’s Lacrosse Club, and loves designing Lakeshore's many websites (since 2003!)
